[Album] St. Millie: "Road To Glory"

Chicago native St. Millie has been slowly growing his name and brand within the burgeoning scene around him for some time now, releasing a host of projects that have endeared him to a local college and young adult market while establishing himself. Today, we get the latest from St. Millie in the eleven track project, Road To Glory, mixed by Elton Chueng at Classick Studios. The project is a mark of growth for the 22-year-old Columbia College student who can more often than not be found hanging around Jugrnaut in the city's South Loop. The project is a hometown affair with production coming from fellow Treated Crew member Nasim Williams, fellow Columbia student Thelonious Martin, THEMpeople and Von Vuai, among others. Overall, it's a cohesive, flowing project that laments on critical issues while keeping the tension at ease with well-placed tracks. St. Millie literally had his face plastered all over the city as wheat pastings of his face with a crown were pinned to walls across the city. With Road To Glory he's hoping to move beyond those walls. Check out the full stream/download below.

[Video] ArtWareness Recap

About a week and a half ago, as the city prepared for Riot Fest, Johnny Boucher was toting artwork around the city and setting up for the ArtWareness suicide prevention showcase put on by Hope For The Day. The event, held in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago amongst a sea of antiques in an renovated warehouse, featured artwork from a slew of talented artists, including street artist Shepherd Fairy, Peter Cook, Jason Hoodrich and more. Among those highlighted by the event was Jugrnaut Brand Manager Tony Bohn, who's pieces lined the southwest corner of the opulently-decorated room. "It's amazing to get a chance to feature my work somewhere like this and even better to be able to be part of such a good cause," said Bohn the day of the event. Along with the event, during which the artwork was auctioned off, Bohn designed a Jugrnaut limited-edition t-shirt for the event. All in all it was a classy, uplifting way to start the Riot Fest weekend on a high note. Check out the full video with footage from the show below.

[Video] #100Trill X ElevenHundred interview

#100Trill (MikeJaxx and Grade Aplus) were recently interviewed by ElevenHundred for their upcoming documentary. Shot inside Jugrnaut, the mini-interview goes into a bit behind the mindset of the LOD members, including their adoption of the trill lifestyle, as well as a question I personally have wondered myself: "What's up with that gold piece, Jaxx?" The interview is set to #100Trill's "Chain Clean," which was a nice touch. Expect to hear more from the group... hopefully really soon.
