[RH Contest] Win a pair of tickets to ShowYouSuck's "Dude Bro" show on 11/21

ShowYouSuck's Dude Bro EP is going to be big. While most people know ShowYouSuck for his One Man Pizza Party saga, Dude Bro represents a stylistic change that still retains similar themes and styles found in the aforementioned OMPP mixtapes, but has its own unique flavor to it. In case you haven't yet, listen to Dude Bro's "80's Boobs" and "Make-Out King" to give you an idea of exactly what I'm talking about.

With Dude Bro officially releasing on iTunes next Tuesday, ShowYouSuck and 1833 Presents are having the official "Dude Bro" Show tomorrow at The Hideout. Supporting Show are our LOD brethren Auggie the 9th, Treated Crew's MattBoyWhite playing a DJ set, and local lo-fi indie band Today's Hits. [Mixtape] Doc Da MindBenda: "Welcome To The Grindhouse"

You might not have heard of the Grindhouse yet, but you've most likely have heard music from the Grindhouse. The house that Doc Da Minbenda built has seen a vast majority of Chicago's best emcees come through and record at the studio, building up a highly-respected reputation and relationships that go way beyond the music. Inspired by RZA, Doc spent almost two years crafting a true local opus by gathering both legendary and up-and-coming acts, supplying them with hot instrumentals and putting it all together for a true showcase of all the talent brewing in the city. Akbar, Pugs Atomz, Psalm One, Griff, GLC, Treated Crew, SaveMoney, ProbCause, Legion Of Dudes, Martin $ky, Pavy, Onis and many more are featured in Welcome To The Grindhouse, available for free download below.

[Mixtape] Impolite Society: "Bootleg #1"

Impolite Society has been dropping singles and collaborative songs, both as a group and individually, since the group formed in 2009. Over the past few years, the original duo of Blakkass Westley and ELEE X have added Fess Grandiose, Sidewalk Kal, and Khalfani into the mix. However, despite the steady flow of loosies, they haven't been compiled into a full, cohesive package... until now.

Bootleg #1 compiles a bevy of songs ranging from group songs to individual songs to some of each member's individual features. Speaking of features, the guest appearances on the mixtape range from ProbCause, Netherfriends, and Cody deCamry to fellow LOD brothers ShowYouSuck and Cadillac Duke. Production credits include Fess Grandiose, Khalfani, Netherfriends, Von Vuai, Na$im Williams, and more.

As a whole, Bootleg #1 is a true mixtape with a collection of songs rather than a centralized theme. However, the "Impolite Society" mantra is very distinct and carried through the majority of the songs. Can you catch on to what the directive behind "Impolite Society" is?

Impolite Society will be playing a show tomorrow, November 9th at Schuba's with Sango, Joey Pecoraro, and Dario X Blendin Fraser. Purchase tickets for the show here, and check out Bootleg #1 below.

[Video] ShowYouSuck: "Hang 10"

ShowYouSuck wants some homies to hang ten with him in his final music video drop before Dude Bro's release next month. Rapping over P. Rico's "Hang Wit Me," the rad rapper does his best Chief Keef vocal impression in "Hang 10." Directed by J. Frank, the music video features the Hometown Hero dropping pop-culture-heavy bars that he's known for, referencing everything from 1992's Ferngully to the SaveMoney Army. The neon-lit colors remind me of a certain Ryan Gosling-led film, but I can't exactly put my finger on its title; I hope only god can forgive me for forgetting.

The lighting/color scheme isn't just for aesthetic pleasure as it serves as a visual allusion to next month's Dude Bro, releasing as a paid EP through our Closed Sessions homies. ShowYouSuck will be having a release party for the aforementioned release next month with support from Auggie the 9th, MattBoyWhite, and Today's Hits on November 21st at The Hideout. You can check out the "Hang 10" video below, as well as the flyer for The Dude Bro Show.

Grade Aplus: "#ShivaBlast

Grade Aplus has been pumping out tracks like crazy lately and today released his most recent track, #ShivaBlast, a song derived from the FX fantasy football-inspired show "The League". The LOD and #100Trill affiliate does his thing over this Jake One beat, with a nice introduction from Nick Kroll.

#100Trill: "Don't Understand (Band$)" (Feat. St. Millie)

The duo of Chicago producer MikeJaxx and artist Grade A-Plus got together with fellow Treated Crew affiliate St. Millie for "Don't Understand (Band$)." Jaxx's production has found its way onto a lot of artist's projects recently, with only more to come from the forward thinking beat crafter. Grade A-Plus and Millie do their thing as usual-certainly two acts out of the Midwest to keep an eye on if you're not already. Take some time out of the day to catch the latest from this talented trio below.
