[Video] Broken Bells Perform on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

Broken Bells, the collaborative effort of DJ Danger Mouse and The Shins' James Mercer made music industry waves back in 2009 when the pair released their self-titled project that mixed sultry, smooth aesthetics with Mercer's gentle vocals to create a sublime album that can be listened back to front at almost any time of the day. Quiet since then, Danger Mouse and Mercer have been slowly building a mountain of anticipation for their announced 2014 release, After The Disco, which they teased over the past couple of months. The project is due out on February 4 and in continuing promotion, the duo visited "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" to play "Holding On For Life" and "After The Disco". Check out performances of both, streaming below and keep it locked for the latest on Broken Bells.

[Video] Killer Mike: "Ghetto Gospel"

Killer Mike spent much of the past year crisscrossing the country, eschewing his own form of hip-hop gospel. In fact, his performance and subsequent message he delivered during his Pitchfork set was one of the more poignant moments of festival season for me. The man behind one of 2013's hottest hip-hop releases in R.A.P. Music yesterday dropped the full video for his track, "Ghetto Gospel", directed by Carlos Haynes. It features Killer Mike doing what he does best, injecting a healthy dose of pure emotion and soul into whatever he's saying. Check out the latest from Killer Mike, here below.

Naledge: "Hole in My Soul" (Ft. Sulaiman)

Naledge is currently in the lab cooking up his latest release, Brain Power 2. As a sort of teaser to the upcoming project, he released this loosie track with fellow Chicago MC Sulaiman for this DJ Sean Mac-produced hors d'oeuvre. Naledge has been around the Chicago scene for a minute, since entering with Kidz In The Hall, as has Sulaiman and the duo make sure to remind everyone that the kids aren't the only ones making noise in the Windy City.

[Video] Aaron Cohen: "Nickvanexelrose"

Seattle's own Aaron Cohen is back with a new video for his track titled "Nickvanexelrose". One of my favorite up and coming artists out right now, Cohen dropped the video via SPIN today in the lead up to his next full project release, Potential Fans, due out November 11. For now, enjoy the video below, inspired by one of the best NBA Live players to ever live, Nick Van Exel.

[Video] Eminem & Slaughterhouse on The Backroom

Eminem dropped his latest album this week, The Marshall Mathers EP 2, a follow-up to his seminal, larger than life, 2000 album that firmly cemented the Detroit MC in the upper echelon of hip-hop and popular culture. As part of the whirlwind media attention the project has been receiving, BET invited Shady and his crew, Slaughterhouse, to the 106th & Park Backroom to spit a few freestyles and talk to Em about Kendrick Lamar. When it comes to off the cuff hip-hop today, you can't do much better than this bunch. Check out what they cooked up for the folks over at BET and what Eminem thinks of K Dot in the videos below and pick up that Marshall Mathers EP 2 via iTunes.

[Album] Action Bronson: "Blue Chips 2"

Queens Chef-turned-MC, Action Bronson, released the highly-anticipated follow up to 2012s Blue Chips collaboration with production duo Party Supplies. Playing of the 1994 Nick Nolte movie of which he put out a teaser video, somewhat re-imagining the seminal scene when Nolte goes off Bobby Knight-style. To be real, Blue Chips was one of my favorite projects of 2012, and the re-up on work between Bronson and Party Supplies shouldn't disappoint if leaked singles hold any weight to the final project. Check out the latest from Bronsolino below.

[Album] theWHOevers: "Ridin' Waves"

At long last the latest offering from DotKom and J. Arthur, better known as theWHOevers out of Chicago, is here with their latest release Ridin' Waves which hit an Internet near you today. The album, a follow-up to 2012s well-received RedTape somewhat chronicles the last year for the duo, as the songs veer from sultry jazz measures (Bonus track with Lili K) to D.jbari's production on several tracks, to the West Coast-induced sound of Bambu's production on tracks such as "Mean". The ever-present Netherfriends also makes the production credits, helping to open things up with the lead track on the project, "No Waves". Check out the album below and be sure to stay tuned to RH for more to come from theWHOevers.
