Rumor: Benedict Cumberbatch joins Star Wars Episode VII
A huge rumor came out over the weekend that Star Trek Into Darkness star Benedict Cumberbatch will be joining his Star Trek director J.J. Abrams in the tight-lipped Star Wars Episode VII. As with all rumors, nothing is confirmed just yet. However, it's noted that Cumberbatch recently left Pacific Rim director Guillermo del Toro's upcoming film, Crimson Peak, which will reportedly begin production around the same time Star Wars will. Cumberbatch has gone on record proclaiming his childhood love for Star Wars much in the same vein as Abrams during promotion for Star Trek, so it's somewhat fitting to see the two reconnect for another story set in a galaxy far, far away.
We'll keep you informed as more news surfaces about any casting updates for the film.

First details of Brad Bird's Tomorrowland revealed
Bound by a shared destiny, a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as Tomorrowland.
This is the official synopsis for the mysterious Disney film, Tomorrowland. Up until this morning, the film has been shrouded in enigmatic clouds, with nothing outside of cast and crew announced and a mysterious reference to a long-forgotten box labeled "1952" found in underground passageways at Walt Disney Studio. The contents of the "1952" box revealed old photos of Walt Disney, various blueprints, maps, and concept art for Disney World attractions, comics, and other memorabilia. However, what helped inspire Bird and Lindelof was the common theme amongst the items that focused on future technology, space, and overall imagination.
Director Brad Bird (The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol) is co-writing the film with Damon Lindelof (Lost, Prometheus). Starring are George Clooney as the "former boy-genius inventor" and Britt Robertson (Under the Dome) as the "bright, optimistic teen"; the cast also includes Hugh Laurie (House), Raffey Cassidy (Snow White and the Huntsman), and Thomas Robinson (Heroes).
Tomorrowland just recently went into production and is targeting a December 12, 2014 release date.

[Photography] Polaroid Socialmatic Camera
Polaroid and ADR Design are set to release the Socialmatic Camera sometime early next year. The concept of the camera was to make Instagram come alive as an actual camera that would be able to print out your photos instantly. The camera will have a 14 MP front camera, a 2MP rear camera next to an LED flash, a 4GB internal storage, 4.3" touchscreen, and stereo speakers. It seems like a fun little camera, but we'll have to wait and see exactly how fun as more details come in about the camera's features. Hopefully it'll be able to print not only Instagram photos, but photos in general. Who knows? Maybe it could add a feature where you can apply filters to the photos. Check out the rest of the photos below.

Italian iWatch prototype is looking sexy
For awhile now, rumors have spread around about Apple's interest in creating an "iWatch" device of sorts. Since the initial rumors spread, various design companies have created their own concept art and prototypes envisioning what a potential iWatch would look like. Italian designer Federico Ciccarese has shared his vision of the iWatch. The prototype is very modern and sleek, appearing to be very thin around the wrist. However, I'm not sure exactly how comfortable it would feel when worn, unless the curves on the "back" of the watch were padded. It all depends on the material used, of course.
As always, these images are just concept art from an artist's own vision; these aren't official images commissioned by Apple. In fact, Apple has been tight-lipped about their venture into the "wearable technology" trend, despite Samsung's announcement of a "Galaxy Gear" watch and Pebble's own watch device finding success on Kickstarter. However, it's been reported that fitness consultant Jay Blahnik, who helped Nike develop their FuelBand, has been hired by Apple.
You can check out the rest of Ciccarese's concepts below.

Is this the iPhone 5S's Camera?
Apparently, the image you see could possibly be the new camera for the iPhone 5S according to Luna Commerce. There really is no other information given to us, so we can only make assumptions about the camera's megapixels or the aperture on the lens. As Phoblographer states, "The photos show that it is a one inch by one inch unit for the most part with the rest of the electronics taking up basically as much space as the camera itself." This only has us asking more questions about the upcoming iPhone features, and hopefully we can expect an upgrade from the current iPhone 5 camera. You can click below for other views of the camera.
