Michael Christmas follows up with his second single titled Ball, produced by Thelonious Martin & Aniko Thomas, off his upcoming album Role Model. [Video] The Save Money Christmas Cypher + New Songs

Few collectives in music had a bigger rise in overall reputation than Chicago's Save Money team. In honor of a 2013 that saw projects from Vic and Chance, as well as Brian Fresco's Mafioso, a Save Money compilation and a steady slew of singles that increasingly unique. In honor of all this and Christmas, some of the team got together for a special cypher video just for the holidays. Joey Purp starts things off before handing off to Kami De Chukwu, Tokyo Shawn and Vic Mensa, who caps off the short video, shot by the girls of Verluxe.

In other Save Money news, we also got new tracks from both Vic Mensa and Dally Auston that can be heard below. Vic's "Crazy" is a lost cut from his 2010 Straight Up EP and was released around Christmas as a loosie single, as is Auston's "Great Gatsby".

Arjaye Jeter: "Ice Cream Bike Pedals"

Chicago artist Arjaye Jeter must rarely, if ever, leave the recording booth as it seems he has new music every week or few days. Today, we have the latest single, "Ice Cream Bike Pedals" has him rapping over MF Doom and RZA. Keep an eye out for Jeter's upcoming mixtape, Chillin' Til The 15th. due out soon with production from Jeter, Thelonious Martin and Chris G.

$aint Ro$$: "$aint $peaks" (prod. Thelonious Martin)

$ain't Ro$$ & Thelonious Martin have been homies for a long-time and their chemistry outside the studio has smoothly translated into great music whenever they get together to work. I first got a hold of their collaborative efforts with the excellent EP The Adventures of Dap Gho$t & Beard Guy Vol. 0, which boasted tracks recorded under the personas of Dap Gho$t & Beard Guy. Now, the duo is back better than ever with the single "$aint $peaks" (and a name tweak). These two are working on a new project and if this joint is any indication, fans will receive a must-download project whenever it drops.

Thelonious Martin: "Wake Up"

Thelonious Martin brings us a new instrumental to jam to on this lazy-Sunday and he makes you truly "Wake Up" with another classic sample flip that we've come to expect from the young producer. Not sure if this will end up in any project, but I'm just glad we got some new smoothness to end the weekend properly.

ShowYouSuck: "Flip Phone" (prod. by Thelonious Martin)

Remember when flip phones weren't just burners or trap phones, but the peak of cellular technology? Times have definitely changed, but producer extraordinaire Thelonious Martin keeps it retro with ShowYouSuck's latest, "Flip Phone." Previewed live at a few shows, the One Man Pizza Party 4: Slice After Death track tells the story of a special lady that became not-so-special after she moved to New York.

Also announced with the "Flip Phone" drop is the news that ShowYouSuck's next album will be through our friends at Closed Sessions. Congratulations to both ShowYouSuck and Closed Sessions for the news! Don't forget that One Man Pizza Party 4: Slice After Death will be coming out on July 23rd (next week!) through Mishka. Don't forget to vote ShowYouSuck to play this summer's North Coast Music Festival.

(P.S. We don't think you're weaker than Dylan, Show... even if he is the greatest rapper of all time.)

[Video] Joey Purp: “I Don’t Care”

I met Joey this year at SXSW down in Austin, TX. Joey's personal style is definitely something that stands out at a quick glance. Ever since then, I’ve been keeping up with any new music he puts out. He’s been putting in work as one of the SaveMoney members who continuously drops good music. Joey links with Thelonious Martin on this track and bring us a short, but sweet video which has us anticipating new work. Check out the video below and stay tuned for more on Joey Purp with us.
