Avengers: Age of Ultron

[Teaser Trailer] Avengers: Age of Ultron

[youtube id="tmeOjFno6Do"]

A funny thing happened yesterday. A few hours after the announcement that the first teaser trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron would premiere next week during the airing of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the trailer leaked online. Typically, film studios (especially ones as big as Marvel/Disney) will take the trailer down and feign ignorance until the scheduled release date. However, facing the unfortunate nature of the situation, they simply released the trailer less than a week early in complete 1080p HD quality alongside the film's first official poster.

Age of Ultron, as we've recounted since the film's announcement, is a direct sequel to 2012's The Avengers and represents the climax of Marvel's "Phase 2" of films in which a rogue A.I., Ultron (James Spader), goes on a rampage against the cast of superheroes. If you thought The Avengers was huge, just wait until Age of Ultron is released. As seen in the trailer (and hinted at dozens of times since its announcement), the film will feature new Avengers in the forms of Quicksilver (Aaron Johnson) and the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), as well as a glimpse of The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) fighting a Hulkbuster. While the trailer's a bit too gloomy, expect the same level of action and comedy when it hits theaters in May 2015.

The Look of Silence

[Trailer] The Look of Silence

[youtube id="aA_ZHAs4M9k"]

Excuse me, but I'm going to be blunt for just a moment: The Act of Killing was robbed of the Best Documentary Oscar at this year's Academy Awards. The documentary detailed the 1965-66 Indonesian killings that led to more than 500,000 murders and the rise of the right-wing organization, Pemuda Pancasila, but also had those same killers re-enact their murders in surreal, fantasy-like scenes that mimicked various film genres.

For his follow-up, The Look of Silence, Oppenheimer and his crew re-visit the Indonesian killings, but focus on the victims and their stories, focusing on one  in which a victim's family discovers his killers live down the street and their confrontation with them. The Look of Silence is being treated as both a follow-up and companion piece to The Act of Killing, but as this first trailer indicates, it'll work just as well (if not better) on its own like The Act of Killing.

The Look of Silence won't be out until next year, so until then, enjoy this trailer, and if you haven't yet, do yourselves a favor and watch The Act of Killing.

(L to R) Pigeon, Yung Hee, Mike and the Marquess of Queensberry are off to solve another mystery. Mike Tyson Mysteries premieres on Adult Swim on October 27 at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Mike Tyson has been rebuilding his public image over the past few years following his retirement from boxing with memorable cameos in films like The Hangover, his one-man show Mike Tyson: Undisputed Truth, and his New York Times Best Seller, Undisputed Truth. What's the next step for one of boxing's most dominant athletes? An Adult Swim cartoon!

During New York Comic Con 2014, the extended trailer for Mike Tyson Mysteries was revealed. The cartoon is a Scooby Doo-esque mystery starring Tyson as himself and the Mike Tyson Mystery Team made up of his adopted Korean daughter Yung Hee (Rachel Ramras), the Ghost of the Marquess of Queensberry (Jim Rash), and a pigeon named Pigeon (Norm Macdonald). If the animation style seems familiar, it's because Warner Bros. Animation themselves is handling it, which is a great show of faith for the show.

Mike Tyson Mysteries will premiere on Adult Swim on October 27th at 10:30pm EST/9:30pm CST. Check out a small gallery of images from the show below!

Slowly but surely, the curtains are being peeled back to reveal Brad Bird (The Incredibles) and Damon Lindelof's (LOST) upcoming film, Tomorrowland. Inspired by the Disney theme park area, Tomorrowland is a trip through the past when films focused on the mystery and intrigue of the unknown, of the promise of a future that hasn't become jaded. During a panel at New York Comic Con last week, Bird was on hand to reveal the first official teaser trailer for the film.

Together, they discover a place known as Tomorrowland that exists outside of their reality where time and space isn't governed by the same rules. Despite this, their actions in Tomorrowland affect the real world.

Nicole Kidman Before I Go To Sleep

Nicole Kidman will be returning to theaters this Halloween with the psychological thriller, Before I Go to Sleep. Directed by Rowan Joffe and adapted from the S.J. Watson novel of the same name, the film is like a female-centric Memento about a woman who suffers from amnesia due to an attack many years prior. She copes with her ailment by taking daily notes she can refer to in the morning when her memories reset; however, one morning, she discovers new information that twists everything she believed to be real.

Before I Go To Sleep will be in theaters on Halloween. You can read the film's synopsis below.

A taut thriller based on the worldwide best-selling novel by S.J. Watson, BEFORE I GO TO SLEEP is the story of a woman (Nicole Kidman) who wakes up every day with no memory as the result of a traumatic accident in her past. One day, terrifying new truths begin to emerge that make her question everything she thinks she knows about her life – as well as everyone in it, including her doctor (Mark Strong) and even her husband (Colin Firth).

Camp X-Ray

I'm more than a little excited for Camp X-Ray's release in a couple of weeks. As I mentioned in my review of the film at this year's Sundance Film Festival, the Guantanamo Bay-set drama features great performances from its leads Kristen Stewart and Peyman Moaadi that cinephiles will love. Stewart detractors would even give the actress props for her portrayal of a Guantanamo Bay guard at wits between her position and her budding friendship with a detainee.

Camp X-Ray will be in theaters on October 17. You can read the film's synopsis below.

A young woman joins the military to be part of something bigger than herself and her small town roots. But she ends up as a new guard at Guantanamo Bay instead, where her mission is far from black and white. Surrounded by hostile jihadists and aggressive squadmates, she strikes up an unusual friendship with one of the detainees. A story of two people, on opposite sides of a war, struggling to find their way through the ethical quagmire of Guantanamo Bay. And in the process, they form an unlikely bond that changes them both.

[Teaser Trailer] Inside Out

[youtube id="1t0A_tZGrYw"]

New Pixar films have become a bit of an annual tradition where we can relive our childhood through some of the best computer generated films the industry has to offer. However, for the first time since 2005, we won't be getting a new Pixar film this year. Based on the recently-released teaser trailer, the wait could be well worth it.

Inside Out, directed by Monsters, Inc. and Up director Pete Docter, is about Riley, a young girl who moves to San Francisco with her family. Riddled with all types of emotions over moving to a new house, going to a new school, and making new friends, Riley's emotions are anthropomorphized to help her cope with all of the new changes. While Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness do their best to work together to keep Riley on the right track, they begin to fight with one another to determine the best way to help Riley.

Inside Out will be in theaters on June 19, 2015. You can read the film's synopsis below.

From the tepuis of South America to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete Docter has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places. In 2015, he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all – inside the mind of an 11-year-old named Riley.

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith).

The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

Horrible Bosses 2

[Trailer 2] Horrible Bosses 2

[youtube id="utriEZFno0E"]

Horrible Bosses was a surprise comedy hit when it was released in theaters in 2011. Three years later, the core group of Charlie Day, Jason Bateman, and Jason Sudeikis return for the aptly-titled Horrible Bosses 2. A new trailer for the film was just released, building on the momentum the previous one left off at. Christoph Waltz and Chris Pine join the cast as a father-son duo that thwarts the trio's attempt at entrepreneurship by stealing their invention idea. Pushed to the edge once again, the trio decide to enact a kidnapping plot to blackmail Waltz's character to keep their business alive. Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey, and Jamie Foxx return to reprise their roles from the first film, as well.

Horrible Bosses 2 will be in theaters on November 26th. You can read the film's synopsis below.

Fed up with answering to higher-ups, Nick (Bateman), Dale (Day) and Kurt (Sudeikis) decide to become their own bosses by launching their own business in “Horrible Bosses 2.” But a slick investor soon pulls the rug out from under them. Outplayed and desperate, and with no legal recourse, the three would-be entrepreneurs hatch a misguided plan to kidnap the investor’s adult son and ransom him to regain control of their company.
