Samsung Announces the NX3000, a New Mirror-Less Camera
Samsung has recently announced a new mirror-less camera to beef up its NX lineup that features the NX30 and NXMini. This new camera, known as the NX3000, will fit right in between both cameras in the existing line and possibly entice those that want the capabilities of an entry level DSLR without all the bulk. The camera is of medium build and not as big as the NX30, but a tad bit bigger the NXMini while it borrows some features from each camera. It has a 20.3MP pixel like the NX30 before and for the selfie lovers it shares NXMini flip up screen alongside a Self Shot mode that airbrushes your selfie. The camera also features a 460,800-dot IPS screen and wi-fi to easily share your photos with your smart phone. The NX3000 will be available starting June 1st and should come in priced at around $500 depending on what kit package you choose. You can check out some of the product shots below.

Samsung Unveils the New Galaxy K Zoom for Selfie Lovers
Samsung has recently unveiled the newest addition to its Galaxy lineup with the Galaxy K Zoom, drawing a thin line between smartphone and camera. The new smartphone comes equipped with a new 10x optical zoom which is also able to take 20.7 megapixel photos and capture 1080p video at 60 frames per second. It has a very sleek design to match its new camera specs, which very much resemble a regular point and shoot camera we see on the market today.
One interesting feature that the new Galaxy K Zoom has is what's called the Selfie Alarm where you select the area you want your face to appear in the frame. Once you turn the camera around, you'll hear a beep when you're in position, and within a few seconds, your selfie will be snapped. There's still no word as to how much or when the Galaxy K Zoom will be released, so we'll be waiting awhile.

Samsung and NBA agree to $100 million deal

Talk about making power moves. Samsung has been slowly creeping on Apple's stronghold on the mobile industry with their line of Galaxy smartphones and various tablets. Their first foray into the entertainment industry happened this past July 4th with their timed-exclusive release of Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail. Now, the Korean company is entering the world of professional sports.
It's being reported that Samsung and the NBA have reached a $100 million deal that will also include the WNBA and NBA Development League. Samsung will provide Samsung TVs and tablets courtside for officials to use for replays. The company will serve as the main partner for the NBA Summer League and associate partner for future NBA Drafts and the NBA All-Star Jam Session, the 2014 Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, the presenting partner of the NBA D-League Showcase, and the main partner for the WNBA's year-end Performance Awards. In return, the NBA will create exclusive content for Samsung devices for NBA League Pass owners, including game recaps, analysis, commentary, etc.

Samsung Unveils the World’s First Smartphone with a Curved Display
Samsung keeps on adding products to their Galaxy lineup with their newest smartphone, the Galaxy Round. The name alone gives you a hint of what to expect from their latest product, and one thing that sticks out is that it's the first smartphone with curved display. The phone doesn't actually bend like the product LG is currently working on; the phone just has a curved shape. There is a "Roll Effect" which users can simply tilt the phone in opposite directions "to check missed calls, remaining battery life and more." I'm not really sure if this going to catch on with people immediately, but for those that might be into this, I hope you have a connect in Korea, that's the only place it's been confirmed to release in.

Google tests Google Play vending machines in Tokyo
Vending machines are literally everywhere in Japan. During my trip to Tokyo this past August, I couldn't go a block without seeing at least one vending machine. Unlike the vending machines here in the States, Japan utilizes the machines for everything from beer, milk, and energy drinks to ramen, pastries, and even panties. How fitting is it, then that Google would test their own vending machines in Tokyo?
Google is introducing Google Play vending machines in Shibuya, Tokyo's version of New York's Times Square. The vending machines will upload both paid and free-to-play games onto Android phones via a touch screen. This is a pretty cool concept for Google to explore, considering the overt nature of vending machines throughout Tokyo. The machines' placement in front of the Parco, one of the trendiest department stores in Tokyo, near the famous Shibuya Crossing will also bring in large audiences.
Japan can keep their Google Play vending machines as long as they can export their beer machines to us.
