The new international trailer for David Ayer’s (Training DayEnd of Watch) upcoming World War II film, Fury, features new scenes not found in the original domestic trailer cut. The focus, once again, is balanced between sharing the film’s story with a ton of action sequences. As excited as I am for the film (it’s probably my most anticipated film of the fall), the tracer bullets take me out of the story too much with their green and red lighting, which is very reminiscent of Star Wars‘ lightsabers. For a film so rooted and grounded in World War II, seeing tracer bullets lit like that took me out of the film too much. Hopefully, the team will realize this and find an alternative way to showcase bullets.

Fury has been bumped up from its original November release date to October 17th. You can read the film’s full synopsis below.

April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
