With Edgar Wright’s (Shaun of the Dead) next film, The World’s End, releasing in theaters this Friday, it’s a better time than any to post the Alamo Drafthouse “Don’t Talk” PSA that was shot to promote the final installment in the Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy. Much like the “Don’t Talk” PSA for Before Midnight, this latest PSA features Wright and The World’s End stars Simon Pegg (Star Trek) and Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz) imploring theater audiences to stay off of their phones and not talk through the movie lest they face the consequences.
While the Alamo Drafthouse doesn’t currently have any plans to expand to Chicago, I’ll continue hoping and praying that the film fanatic-friendly theater will come to their senses sooner than later. If you can’t wait until Friday to catch The World’s End, I suggest replaying a trailer over and over until the end of the work week comes.
