The Knux: F**k You EP
The Knux entered 2010 with a new release of leftover and unreleased tracks, 5 of them to be exact. The new-old stuff comes in the form of the F**K You EP, which follows the late-summer leak of "F**k You". All of this sets the table for the Knux to drop their second Interscope release later this week. Download the EP here.
The Schwerve's Magnum Opus: Top 1000 Songs and 100 Albums of The Decade: (2006)

Disclaimer: Years are fairly arbitrary time periods. The only thing that makes a decade is the human conditions' odometer fetish. Unfortunately, like you, I'm human as well and fall prey to these tendencies. I can't claim to know everything, I'm just an educated observer; and here are my educated observations. They are not perfect and neither you nor I will completely agree with them in a years time, but that is the fun of lists.
Check out Man Man's performance of "Black Mission Goggles" live at Amoeba, it conveys fairly well the insanity of their shows. Others to look at, Cornelius' "Fit Song" for brilliance, Chad Van Gaalen's "Flower Gardens" for a bad acid trip, and The Knife's "Silent Shout" for I don't know what.Read more
Walter J. Liveharder: "Put Your Word On That"
Let's start 2010 with some new music from this fair (albeit bitterly cold) city. Walter J. Liveharder has a name that rival Roosevelt Treasurechest, and is readying an LP that is said to feature Pac Div, GLC, and others. It's called Go: Confidential, and will most definitely feature this track, "Put Your Word On That" a big-up to honesty laced over a beat by the Produktionix and accentuated by scratches from DJ ALO. Listen/download below. Look from more WJL.
Jay Electronica: "Exhibit C" DJ Finyl Redux
Waking up with not much to do has its perks. Las Vegas' DJ Finyl found time on his hands, and gave Jay Electronica's "Exhibit C" a new look. Finyl swapped out soul samples, to create a similar, yet lighter version of the song. Download it below.
