Let it hit you in the face! Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek aren't done. Here's a new clip from their 2010 release, Revolutions Per Minute. Kweli hits the poolside in this Joslyn Rose Lyons directed video. See it below.
Cloud Nothings: "Hey Cool Kid"

Sometimes there are things cooler than being cool and such are explored in Cloud Nothings' "Hey Cool Kid". There must be something in the water in Cleveland, as a quick music rise musically is happening quicker than the Browns making the playoffs. Cloud Nothings started as one 18 year in his parents basement, and the computer recording's lo-fi quality, said 18 year old's (Dylan Baldi) lyrical stylings caught on, led to a demand for shows, led to a band formation, led to performances, and the present day preparations of an EP on Carpark Records (who also released Toro Y Moi). "Hey Cool Kid" is pretty dope, and you don't need designer clothes to enjoy it. Grab it below.

Walkmen: "Angela Surf City"

I haven't loved everything the Walkmen have done. At times I think they play out a formula, but when that formula works, dear god does it work. "The Rat" was one of my top 10 songs of the last decade and "Angela Surf City" is a contender for best of the year as well. The Walkmen do the Crescendo better than anybody with Hamilton Leithauser's soaring vocal. "Angela Surf City" does just that, carrying an incredible kinetic energy, ripping through the speakers. Lisbon is out now on Fat Possom Records.

New Banksy Piece

Thanks to the internet, and Banksy's rising fame, word of new pieces by the mysterious street artist comes relatively quickly. After hitting the road across the US last winter to premier his debut film 'Exit Through The Gift Shop', adding a few pieces in each US city the tour included, Banksy is back at it over on his home turf. His latest piece is a humorous nod to the late Keith Haring. Nice to see Banksy adding a twist to his bread and butter.

Yelawolf and Big KRIT to Release a Joint Mixtape

The remix of Big K.R.I.T.'s "Hometown Hero" featuring Yelawolf was a great track. So the news that Yelawolf and Big K.R.I.T. are getting together for an entire mixtape has got me pretty excited. In an interview with MTV, Yelawolf said that they have already recorded four tracks and that he expects the project to be released within four to five months. The projects title is a hybrid of the two artist's most recent releases. Be on the lookout for more news of Country Cousins: Trunk Muzik Wuz Here.
