Phil Ade: The Letterman Mixtape
Not everyone at the office is sold on Phil Ade, but I think the D.C. native is one of the freshest new voices in Hip Hop. I had the chance to DJ for him at the Chicago stop of Sneakers Pimps last year. I had never of him, or heard his music before Raheem DeVaughn handed me the show CD. I left the venue that night looking forward to more. More comes in the form of his new mixtape with DJ Don Cannon. It's entitled The Letterman and follows up his last effort, Starting JV.
