RH First Look: Emilio Rojas
So time has said that our economy is to take a turn and our hip hop will follow. The broker our NYC pockets seem to get, the hungrier the emcees seem to get as well. Having personally known this guy right when he came down from his home in Rochester, it's nice to see that MTV has made room for him and the rest of the blog world as well. After recently attaining hood status on his Recession Proof mixtape, I just had to sit down and show the Chi city what Emilio was all about.

Ups and downs are a normal part of any profession, but for anyone who rides a high too much or lets a down drag them way down, entertainment, fashion, music, can be a tough road. I've learned the hard way about both, and currently don't get too gassed when something goes right, and have learned to shrug off something going kind of wrong. Another thing that I've seen is appearance substituting for work, and when that happens, and you get caught up in going to all the parties etc...your work, or at least my work, my writing, my interviews, my networking, can and does suffer. This weekend pretty much put all of that into a microcosm for me, and on the other end of it now, I feel like I've regained part of myself, the part that wanted to do all this in the beginning.

RH Photos: U-N-I's Midwest Weekend Pt. 1
Last weekend Cali's U-N-I made their first trip to the Midwest, making a stop in Madison, WI before continuing onto Chicago and hosting our Creme De La Creme at Lava Lounge. We were told to meet Thurz and YO for their show at the University of Wisconsin at 11 AM Friday morning. So, we packed our ish, left Mano's bday party early and headed out bright and early to UW. Just after crossing the Wisconsin border, we learned that the show was actually at 11PM, which made a lot more sense, and left us with a day to take in the beauty that is the University of Wisconsin. What follows are our photos from the show, and what will follow that are pics from our night on the town that included two college house parties, randomly running into Hollywood Holt and checking in with DJ Benzi who was also in town.
