Donald Glover opens up about Community, Childish Gambino
Donald Glover has had an illustrious entertainment career since he gained attention through the YouTube comedy troupe, Derrick Comedy. Since 2006, Glover has gone on to write for 30 Rock, wrote/produced his Mystery Team, starred in Community, and attained recognition for his rap ability under the moniker Childish Gambino with Culdesac, Camp, and the many mixtapes and EPs he's dropped in between.
However, as any artist or creative type will tell you, our doubts and fears can sometimes be overwhelming. In a series of Instagram posts, Glover shared some of his thoughts and fears, including his decision to leave Community, his relationship, the problems he's facing over Because the Internet and his label, Glassnote Records, and more. Most of the personal fears are thoughts most everybody has felt while in a relationship. In regards to Community, considering the mistreatment the show has faced from NBC, I can't really blame him for wanting to move on. As for his issues with Glassnote Records, it's a common problem most aspiring musicians run into when money and executives enter the mix. You can see the IG photos in the gallery below.
Sometimes, it's good to open up about such things. In Glover's case, his honesty and openness has been what separates Childish Gambino from most other rappers. Barring any problems, we'll be able to listen to Because the Internet by the end of the year and watch Glover's return to TV on Atlanta next year.
New Nymphomaniac posters are literally sexy, orgasmic
Blue is the Warmest Color isn't the only film releasing this year that's been building controversy over its sex scenes. Lars von Trier's (Melancholia) next film, Nymphomaniac, tracks 50 years of a woman's (Charlotte Gainsbourg) sexuality from the loss of her virginity to her mature years. Buzz swirled when Shia LaBeouf (Charlie Countryman) revealed that the sex scenes would be as real as possible. That, however, was debunked when von Trier stated that the sex scenes would be performed with body doubles from the waist down.
Playing into the film's overtly-sexual themes (and its tagline, "Forget about love"), these new promotional posters for Nymphomaniac feature the cast's vinegar strokes (which you can see below). Nymphomaniac stars Gainsbourg, LaBeouf, Uma Thurman, Willem Dafoe, Christian Slater, Stellan Skarsgard, and more. The film still doesn't have a domestic release scheduled, but it will premiere in Denmark on Christmas. "Ho ho ho," indeed.

Samsung Unveils the World’s First Smartphone with a Curved Display
Samsung keeps on adding products to their Galaxy lineup with their newest smartphone, the Galaxy Round. The name alone gives you a hint of what to expect from their latest product, and one thing that sticks out is that it's the first smartphone with curved display. The phone doesn't actually bend like the product LG is currently working on; the phone just has a curved shape. There is a "Roll Effect" which users can simply tilt the phone in opposite directions "to check missed calls, remaining battery life and more." I'm not really sure if this going to catch on with people immediately, but for those that might be into this, I hope you have a connect in Korea, that's the only place it's been confirmed to release in.

New film stills, viral video for Carrie
This new remake for Carrie quietly came out of nowhere. Starring Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass 2) as the titular Carrie and Julianne Moore (Don Jon) as her mother, the Kimberly Peirce-directed remake is set to greet Halloween revelers in a couple weeks on October 18th. As part of the film's final marketing push, new stills from the film have been released. An added bonus comes in the form of a viral video where planted actors faked a telekinetic outburst to tie in with the supernatural elements found in the film.

[Trailer 3] Machete Kills
http://youtu.be/dNF2McwPyh4
Machete Kills, the sequel to Robert Rodriguez' blissfully Mexploitative Machete, is hitting theaters this Friday. However, one final trailer for the film snuck out over the weekend. Featuring Lady Gaga's "Aura," the trailer gives us all one final appetizing taste before the full course. I'm predicting a lot of bloodshed, terribly awesome one-liners, and an epic pillow fight. Don't let me down, Rodriguez.
In case you needed another reminder, Machete Kills hits theaters this Friday, October 11th.
New American Hustle posters are '70s chic
Director David O. Russell's next film, American Hustle, is a period piece deeply rooted in '70s art culture. Of course, that includes questionable fashion choices and frightening hairstyles. The film is based on the FBI Abscam art sting that targeted a con artist (Christian Bale) and the mob bosses and political figures he dealt with. If you haven't seen the film's first trailer from August, I recommend doing so.
Earlier this week, the first set of posters for American Hustle were released that focus on each of the main actors in the film, including the aforementioned Bale, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Jeremy Renner. Some highlights include Renner's party pomp, Cooper's perm, Bale's LeBron James hairline, and Jennifer Lawrence's... Jennifer Lawrence-ness.
American Hustle will have a limited release on December 13th with a wide release on Christmas Day.

New poster, film stills, and interactive panoramas for Ender's Game
The final marketing push for Ender's Game has begun with the film's release in less than one month. Below is the final poster for the film, as well as some final promotional film stills for the Gavin Hood-directed adaptation of Orson Scott Card's sci-fi staple. As you may recall, controversy has surrounded the film due to Card's personal political views overshadowing the film's production. Nevertheless, Ender's Game is still on track to become the next sci-fi YA film adaptation to fill our hearts and minds and empty our wallets.
Enjoy the new pieces, especially the 360 degree panorama pieces. It's like you're actually a part of Ender's Game.

Add-2 Signs with JAMLA, 9th Wonder
Add-2 has been doing his thing on the underground circuit for awhile now and things are really starting to roll along for the Chicago MC. Along with announcing today that he has signed with 9th Wonder's JAMLA label via a tweet from 9th himself, Add also dropped a new track with JAMLA artist Khrysis, titled "Don't Go". The song serves as a preview of what is to come from the Midwest hustler as he joins one of the most soulful, complete teams in hip hop today. It's good to see the hard work pay off as Add-2 continues to show Chicago is a place to be for hip-hop music today. Check out the track below.
