Wiz Khalifa's Rolling Papers 2 Out Now

Wiz Khalifa has finally dropped Rolling Papers 2 after teasing the album for what feels like years now. The album is 25 songs and contains a long list of features that include Lil Skies, Gucci Mane, Snoop Dogg, and many others. Jimmy Wopo, who was shot and killed in Pittsburgh, PA last month is also featured with fellow Pittsburgh rapper Hardo on the 3rd song "Blue Hunnids".

Wiz's breakthrough album Rolling Papers, that dropped back in 2011, had anthems like “Black & Yellow,” “Roll Up,” and “No Sleep.” The sequel  has similar energy that made the first Rolling Papers a classic. The production from TM88, Sledgren, Cardo, and others has Rolling Papers 2 sounding much like the mixtapes that led Wiz to his popularity.

The intro track "Hot Now" trades the typical melodic hook for back to back verses building up the auto tune setting up the album. Listen to the rest of the album below:

Curren$y And Action Bronson Team Up For "Scarab 38"

Curren$y's latest release The Marina EP, which came out last week, is an 8 track, star-studded EP filled with features from artists like French Montana, Action Bronson and Wiz Khalifa going toe to toe with the New Orleans MC. Curren$y linked up with producer Harry Fraud on the album and all of the beats are crafted to match the vintage Miami aesthetic that's found throughout the EP.

One track in particular stands out, "Scarab 38" is a summertime bop. The beat sounds like the soundtrack to a James Bond style speedboat getaway, complete with coast guard radio chat scattered throughout the track. Action Bronson kicks things off with his trademark braggadocios style followed by Curren$y humblebragging in a way that only a truly successful rapper can, not aspirational but casually observational.

Tuesday got a healthy dose of new music, and we have all of it gathered here for you once again for our 'songs of the day'. Starting things off is the honky-tonk sounds of Denny & The Jets with "Mexican Coke" and Klaxons with their heavy-handed dream pop arrangement in "Children of the Sun". Vic Mensa capitalized on a successful tour with Disclosure by releasing a freestyle over the UK duo's track "When A Fire Starts to Burn" off their album, Settle, and fellow Chicagoans Roman Flowrs and Donnie Trumpet teamed up over a Cam Osteen-produced beat in the soulful "Lake Shore Drive" and theWHOevers round out the middle of the map, offering up a J Dilla tribute in "Sooner or Later". Lil Boosie teases his post-prison plans, getting together with Boston George and Future on "Rich Off Lean" while Mr. Carmack gives listeners a new groove in his instrumental, "Free Baby" and Kelis returns with a new song in "Rumble". Yumi Zouma's “A Long Walk Home For Parted Lovers” gets a remix from Wild Nothings, Harry Fraud remixes JOYWAVE's "Tongues" and we get new tracks from The Black Lips, Beverly, Wiz Khalifa and a talented newcomer in Barney Bones. Wiz Khalifa: "Got Me Some More" (Prod. Young Chop)

The general of Taylor Gang finally released the final version of  his collaboration with Chicago "Drill" producer extraordinaire Young Chop yesterday via his twitter account. It's been fun watching Young Chop foray his unique drill sound into national recognition and Wiz gets everyone excited with the track, set to be on his next release, Blacc Hollywood, which is slated for a 2014 release. The track was officially premiered earlier today on Sway in the Morning, and features Khalifa singing more often than we've heard in the past. Blacc Hollywood should prove to be one of the more interesting releases from the Pittsburgh rapper. More on that later, though. Check out "Got Me Some More" streaming below.

Directed by Ted Cadillac, the video features J.R. and fellow Taylor Gang affiliates in and around the Los Angeles area as the lead single from J.R.'s upcoming debut mixtape, due out early 2014, sets the mood in the backing track.
