[Interview] AEMMP Hip Hop Artist of The Week: Shonen Domo 2

The Shonen Domo

RubyHornet:  What was your first experience with hip hop music?

Shonen Domo: I honestly couldn’t tell you..I’ve been around it for a long time. I guess it just came around naturally. I love beats.

RubyHornet: At what point did you start making music?

Shonen Domo:  Around Christmas of 2010…That’s when I got out of the phase of making video games. Music was starting to take over as the main necessity for my days.

RubyHornet:  What’s it like balancing college studies with your music career?

Shonen Domo:  It is what it is. I spread my time out pretty well, haha… I’ll just leave it at that.
RubyHornet:  What does Columbia give you as far as being an artist?

Shonen Domo:  As far as being an artist it has DEFINITELY done me good in the networking department. Meeting new artists everyday is pretty cool though most are pretty trash..but that’s my opinion. We’re all here to have fun and make music.

RubyHornet:   For anyone new checking this article out, what are three things you want them to know about you?

Shonen Domo: Well for starters, I’m apart of the Chicago based Hip Hop collective “Terra 5”, which consists of: Stamina, Leyone Tracks, Vagabond Maurice,The Kao, Dante Starkiller, Dale Fresco, Swesdo, Nudai, Heartless and TL Beatz (We’re a big collective.)  Another thing about me is that I make music that refers to the old comic books I made back in 4th grade..most of which I only understand. Lastly I am a super-omega fan of Dbz, FMA, Naruto, Ruroni Kenshin, Persona, Ronin and Yu-Gi-Oh.
