Adobe Announces Amazing Creative Cloud Update

Photos by Adobe Press Release

It is no secret that Adobe Photoshop already has the most powerful manipulation tools available. And right when you think it can't get any better, they announce the release of their latest update to Creative Cloud for Design. The update is live now and has a few very exciting features like Perspective Warp, Linked Smart Objects, and 3D Printing. By paying $49.99 monthly for Adobe's Creative Cloud Model, you'll have access to all major updates, as soon as they come available, and you could even try it for free here to see if you like it.

A quick description for the Perspective Warp tool is that it allows you to adjust the perspective of your image by placing a grid or individual lines within images, so you can tug and pull wherever you please to warp the image.

The introduction of the Linked Smart Objects tool is exciting because it allows you to efficiently change a smart object in just one document; whereas before, you'd have to apply the same edits over again within the document, or replace them with new versions. This is especially good for creating promo material and editing logos.

The 3-D Printing tool is the newest with tons of potential growth. Here, you can create, edit, preview and print a 3-D design and bring it to life.

Of course, explaining these features just won't do as much justice as seeing how it works in action, so be sure to check out Adobe's overviews and tutorials here to learn more. Also be sure to check some of these photos they released to preview.

The Mexican Vigilante Battle Against The Drug Cartel

Photos by Rueters/Jorge Dan Lopez

Just south of the border, Mexico is notoriously known for it's struggle with an out-of-control drug cartel and a corrupt police force that is increasingly taking the lives of innocent bystanders. It has come to a point where Mexican vigilantes have had to take it upon themselves to protect their land and loved ones by creating their own task force. In recent months, the number of vigilantes, locally known as fuerzas autodefensas, has soared as groups of men patrol to protect their neighborhoods and farmland using rifles and machetes as their weaponry.

This past week, in the small city of Paracuaro in Michaocan, vigilantes were tactful enough to take over a main government building after a weekend full of violence against suspected criminals, who were holding policemen as prisoners. This battle is just one of many in their fight against impending chaos.

On the scene, Jorge Dan Lopez was one of the few brave photographers who were able to capture the faces and traces of some these vigilantes. Take a look at these mind blowing photos of vigilantes who are willing to risk their lives to fight for their land, and click here to view more.

The Photographer Who Traveled Through Time

Photos by Chino Otsuka

Imagine being able to go back in time to find yourself. What would you tell the younger you? Or maybe it would be best to not say anything and simply relive the moment.

As the genre of self-portraiture gains popularity in contemporary photography, we often seek answers within ourselves on our personal identity. London-based photographer Chino Otsuka did just that in her photo series "Imagine Finding Me". A series of unique 'double self-portraits' made between 2005 and 2009, around a collection of her personal childhood photos. Here, Chino Otsuka photoshopped her present self into these selected childhood photographs, creating a visual time travel while eloquently demonstrating the relationship of time and memory in photography.

Check out of some these photos and allow yourself to imagine your own time travel.
