Suburban District ft. Young Scolla & Nickelus F: "The Law"

My man, the musical genius from Detroit teamed up with a new face to me in Suburban District out of Virginia and the familiar Nickelus F to create what is "The Law". Now I know Young Scolla can spit but boy does he spazz on this song and starts it off right. At first I was a little skeptical listening to a new act but Suburban District blew right past me, they have some real talent and bringing in Nickelus is just the cherry on top of the pie. But the real secret to this gem is the beat...no it is. The beat is just fire and I could play this song over and over until Chris Brown changes his hair color again. My favorite verse though comes right in at around the 2:10 mark, sheshhhh. Check out this track right now, you won't be sad you did, it's right below I mean do it.

Chris Brown ft. Berner, Wiz Khalifa & Big K.R.I.T.: "Yoko"

So looks like Chris Brown is trying real hard to resurge himself back to glory and this time it is with his newest mixtape Boy In Detention. Questionable name at that and I guess that is him on the cover, thought he was blonde or whatever sketchy moves he continues to make. Besides all that he always seems to jerk out one good song here and there and "Yoko" is exactly that. Big K.R.I.T. is the star of this one and it seems like his production game is going through the roof. He has been on fire of late but he has always shown the skills on the production end. Hopefully his great productions shed some light to those who aren't familiar with his raps and visa verse. Anyway back to "Yoko"...I have no idea who Berner is, he raps at the start and well that is just about all I can say about him. Now onto Chris Brown. I don't know what he wants to do with his career. I'm guessing whenever he gets a burst of anger his therapist told him to rap it out and that is where his raps come from because the next day he is serenading us with love songs. Anyway "Yoko" is a jam so props to Breezy, download after the jump.

[Mixtape] Illecism: "Bloodsport"

In a somewhat impromptu move, Illecism put the word out that he would have a new mixtape dropping at the end of July and well I was on the edge of my seat the entire month until I got to finally put my hands on this bad boy. "Bloodsport" might easily be one of the best, if not the best complete project that the Sacramento MC has put out to date and has me continuously wondering how Illecism isn't signed yet. In a culmination of the badassery of "Bloodsport" Illecism lets go of a song that he has kept in the chamber for a while where he enlists the man Lee Bannon on the beat and who else but Sean P on the feature. The Filthy is well that, filthy, just so filthy, wrong, oh lord. You think it stops there? Filthy is just the fourth track on this eleven track mixtape filled with songs that you will cause you to be on Dr. Phil taking lie detectors about abuse. If you want to find out a little bit more about Illecism you can check out our First Look and to get caught up on everything else Illecism. Grab the download link to "Bloodsport" after the jump as always.

Casey Veggies: "Said She Like Me"

One artist that rapidly flew up my list of dope artist was Sir Veggies. It was even better that I got the chance to interview the young spitter and after that I haven't really looked back on blasting Casey on a daily basis. Casey Veggies just graduated high school and has already achieved musical achievements that people work their whole lives towards. "Said She Like Me" is an old new track according to Casey but shit that doesn't even matter when it was created it's dope nonetheless. It is the second release in a short amount of time from Casey Veggies that has got me bumping even with "Duckin' And Dodgin" being the other. It is best that you get wind of Casey Veggies if you haven't already because by the end of 2011 I find it hard to not see him being at a label somewhere.

SPACEGHOSTPURP ft. Speakz: "Way Back" (Prod. Michael Uzowuru)

I've listened to a bit of SPACEGHOSTPURP in the past but haven't been able to get as much into his as I have of late. He teams up with my favorite white boy Speakz and the prodigy man behind the beat Michael Uzowuru to create the sexy being that is "Way Back". Uzowuru did his part with creating the airy smoke filled beat that Spaceghost and Speakz nestle in and double team. I haven't been able to listen to anything else today because of this song and I have had no problem listening to this over and over and over...and over again. This gets me excited for what the three of these guys all have coming up. Craziness is going to ensue. Grab this mp3 right below immediately.

J. Cole ft. Trey Songz: "Can't Get Enough"

So for some reason I have been hearing a lot of talk about J. Cole being weak, his singles being whack and his album is going to not be that great. I must be going crazy because everytime I press play on a J. Cole track I can't help but sitting back and saying to myself well sweet hot damn. He once again enlists a slick sample, last time being some Kanye West, and grabs a hold of Trey Songz on the hook to climb over another hump onto his way to his debut album. I smell that another mixtape will be seeing the light before his album eventually does drop and well I am not going to complain either way. J. Cole just makes good music and in the corniest way possible I can't get enough of Can't Get Enough. I think you shall feel the same so grab the track after the jump and enjoy with some good wine.

Hoodie Allen: "The Chase Is On"

I've been following Hoodie Allen since his "Making Waves" mixtape and it has been quite a while since that. He started making some serious noise after his latest project "Pep Rally" and he is now only 5 days away from his next project, "Leap Year." From the sounds of what I have heard so far it seems like Hoodie has finally found his style and is perfecting it. While taking a little steam away from Chiddy Bang, Hoodie has began to infect our youth with this new form of rap and is able to create songs that we just can't get out of our heads. "The Chase Is On" is the first song that Hoodie Allen has given to us from "Leap Year" and is something that has been making my transition into the morning or afternoon or whatever time it is Hoodie is making it a good one. Not to mention he somehow included one of my favorite NBA players ever into his rap and yes I mean Dikembe Mutumbo, who else would I be talking about. You have to give this song a few listens before you catch some dope lyrics that Hoodie is throwing at you that might just blow past you right away especially his Wu-Tang reference.

I have also included the video for this song which includes the stunning Sofia Black D'Elia who was most recently on MTV's Skins and probably one of the only reasons I actually watched the show and one of the only reasons I cried myself to sleep when it got cancelled. You can watch the video right down below as well as grab the mp3 after (direct download for all my sweethearts).

If you so do please, "The Chase Is On" is also on iTunes so if you want to support your fellow artists you can do so.

[Video] Logic ft. Camille Michelle Gray: "Mind Of Logic"

Logic is an artist that I am just getting familiar with out of the DMV, Maryland. The first single from his upcoming mixtape,Young Sinatra, is "Mind Of Logic" where he teams up with the smooth singing styles of Camille Michelle Gray to create what I think is a dope first start for what is to come from Logic. "Mind Of Logic" gives off a nice summer feel and pairs up great with the visuals that were put together for it. I am usually not a huge fan of female hooks during rap songs but Gray's hook fits perfectly and everytime it comes in I just can't complain. You can check out the video right down below and check what I mean and I've also included a download link for after you see what I'm talking about. Can't wait to hear more from this DMV repper.
